I started my career almost 20 years ago as a freelance web developer before realizing my true passion, which is sharing my years of knowledge about making websites, podcasting, and course development to help podcasters of any size make money. I’ve been told I have a gift for breaking down concepts that scare people into bite-sized, approachable pieces of information they can implement in a matter of days.

My career trajectory includes 20+ years of experience building websites, 16+ years using WordPress, 11+ years teaching at the college level, 7+ years podcasting. Plus I am the author of four books, including my latest: HTML and CSS: Visual QuickStart Guide.

As for what I do professionally these days, here’s the gist: I help podcasters become business owners at Podcast Liftoff, create online courses for LinkedIn Learning, and host a podcast called How I Built It.

When I’m not doing those things you can find me spending time with my family: my fantastic wife Erin and our 3 kids, Teresa, Louis, and Abby.

I’m also a huge fan of Disney, Star Wars, the Yankees, pens, and cigars.

I love Star Wars and Disney World.

Fun Fact: In another life, I’d probably be an animator.
